Not all medical conditions can be included

Private health insurance can go a long way in providing excellent cover for medical conditions. Some medical conditions, are however, unlikely to be covered at all. Each of our insurers will have a list of conditions which they will offer cover for.

Below is a list of the common medical condition exclusions - The following conditions or treatments are normally excluded in your cover.

• Accident and Emergency Admissions
• Cosmetic Surgery
• Deliberately self-inflicted injuries
• Dental Treatment
• Drug abuse
• Experimental or unproven treatment or drugs
• Gender reassignment (sex change)
• GP Visits
• HIV/AIDS
• Infertility treatment
• Injuries suffered whilst taking part in dangerous hobbies, hazardous pursuits/sports
• Kidney dialysis
• Mobility aids
• Normal pregnancy
• Organ transplant
• Outpatient drugs and dressings
• Pre–existing medical conditions conditions
• War risks
